"Thinking of you..."

I LOVE Katy Perry's song and music video, "Thinking of you", so much that I decided to make a sims 3 conversion of it. The lyrics are absolutely beautiful, soul deep and heartfelt. The video tells the tragic 1940's wartime story of a woman pining away for her lost lover in the arms of another man. Katy's video is visually beautiful and if you haven't seen it yet, i highly recommend you to check it out --> here. In my opinion, this is Katy's best video by far. I have seen it probably close to a hundred times and I always seem to tear up each and every time. This song, the era, the story - there must be hundreds of untold stories such as this...
Another reason I do adore this video (there are so many) -- Check out Katy's outfits -- she looks absolutely stunning! Love, love, love. Man, do I want those shoes!!

Oh and lets not forget the eye candy -- Matt Dallas from 'Kyle XY' *swoons*!! -I'm thinking of him all right.

I've added my favorite acoustic version (her vocals in this is AMAZING) to the playlist in case anyone wants to listen along. I had lots and lots of fun making this. I hope you all enjoy!

Comparisons are easily done,
Once you've had a taste of perfection.

Like an apple hanging from a tree,
I picked the ripest one,
I still got the seed

You said 'move on',
Where do I go?

I guess second-best is all I will know...
'Cause when I'm with him,

I am thinking of you... thinking of you.

What you would do, if you were the one who was...

Spending the night.
Ohh.. I wish that I was looking into your eyes.

Your like an Indian summer,
In the middle of winter,

Like a hard candy with a surprise center.

How do I get better once I've had the best,

you said -- 'there's tons of fish in the water',
So the waters, I will test.

He kissed my lips,
I taste your mouth...

He pulled me in,
I was disgusted with myself.

'Cause when I'm with him I am,

Thinking of you... thinking of you.

What you would do if you were the one who was,

Spending the night...

Oh I wish that I.....

Were looking into....

You're the best,
and yes I do regret...

How I could let myself,

Let you go...

But now the lesson's learned...

I touched, and I was burned.
Oh I, think you should know...

'Cause when I'm with him I am,

Thinking of you... thinking of you.

What you would do, if you were the one who was,

Spending the night...

Oh I wish that I, was looking into your...

your eyes... looking into your eyes.

Oh won't you walk through.... and bust in the door and...

Take me away...

Ohh, no more mistakes...

'Cause in your eyes,

I'd like to stay...

Bettie Page Inspired Looks

Without question, one of my most favorite vintage style icons is Bettie Page. Her classic style can be described in a range of words like: flirty, sassy, suggestive, lady-like, and bold. Bettie was very popular model in the 50's and her looks are still seen imitated today by many starlets (Katy Perry, Leighton Meester, and Dita Von Teese to name a few). Here are some outfits I have put together (2 actual outfits and 2 inspired) after the late "Queen of Pin-Ups" Bettie Page.

(Bettie Inspired) Outfit #1: Ivory Pearls

This simple, form fitting dress is darling all by itself or when dressed up with the right accessories. The coffee color gives some sophistication while the ivory colored dots and pearls create a cohesive look and theme.

(Bettie Inspired) Outfit #2: Pretty-in-Pink Plaid

This outfit looks great in virtually any color, matched with any print pattern! This EA packaged skirt is charming when paired with a form fitting puffed shouldered top. Very Bettie-like.

(Bettie Actual) Outfit #3: Cheetah Cat

This looks just screams 'Vixen' and I'm crazy about it. Accessories really help bring out a playful feline look: the elbow length gloves add elegance and the pearl necklace even looks like a kitty collar. Meow!

(Bettie Actual) Outfit #4: Ahoy Sailor

This look is one of my favorites -- it is very versatile (just add a print or swap the colors-- looks great either way!) I also adore the exaggerated shoulders, gives this dress lots of feminine charm even with a nautical color theme.

P.s. I'll post links to all the cc used soon!
